LaTedra Bailey is one of two Assistant Directors for Mesquite ISD. I currently hold a Professional Certification of Transportation Official and working to obtain my Transportation Administrator Certificate through TAPT, Director Certification with NAPT, and Certified Texas School Business Official with TASBO. This year I will begin my 3rd year for my bachelor’s degree, which has been a long time coming due to life events. Being a member of TAPT has allowed me to combine two of my favorite things, learning and traveling (I get great coffee mugs too).
I spent over 15 years in the financial industry before returning to transportation. I have been home now for 6 years but 9 years total experience. I’ve had the pleasure to serve on the committee of the North Texas Association as the Secretary and assist with other committees in both NTAPT and TAPT.
A native of Dallas, TX, I am the proud mother of one beautiful daughter and a bonus parent to two. I am honored to be the grandmother of 3 amazing little people, which are now my inspiration. My goal is to continue to grow as an individual, a parent, grandparent, and professional.
