Director of Transportation
Goose Creek CISD
My name is Patricia Ducote, and I am currently
seeking your vote for the position of 2025-2026 TAPT Secretary. I have enjoyed
my involvement with TAPT and school district transportation operations for over
10 years. I am the mother of 4 beautiful daughters who continuously inspire me
to work hard, never give up and never stop growing in every aspect of
life.
I soon realized that I wanted to grow and achieve
excellence within pupil transportation in 2014 as I transitioned from Bus
Driver/Trainer to Area Coordinator while at New Caney ISD. Through hard work
and dedication, I was honored to be selected as the Director of Transportation
for Channelview ISD. During my journey there, I learned so much! Later, I found
that GCCISD has a vision like mine, and in which I could continue my dedication
and commitment to safe and efficient student transportation. My hopes have
always been that my leadership, passion and dedication not only shines, but
lifts and encourages others to further greatness
My professional development resulted in
receiving my TAPT Trainer Certification with the completion of the Trainer
Academy and soon after achieved my Official level of professional
certification. What a learning experience this has been!
I have had the privilege to serve on the TAPT
Executive Committee in many capacities since 2018-2019: historian, secretary,
president elect, president, and currently the Ex-Officio. Having served in
these capacities and having prior program planning experience have given me the
knowledge and understanding of the importance of early and effective planning
for the success of a positive educational conference experience for our
members.
Without doubt – I am where I am today because
of the support and encouragement that I have received from TAPT and the great
relationships I have made with some of the greatest mentors!! It is for these
reasons that I want to “give back” by supporting this great organization.
Thank you for your support!
