Director of Transportation
Comal ISD
I have spent the past 20 years in pupil
transportation, starting my career as a Bus Driver and progressing through
various leadership roles. Most recently, I served as the Director of
Transportation for Comal ISD.
I am actively engaged with our local
Centex chapter, where I’ve had the privilege of serving on the executive
committee in various capacities, including Historian, Vice President,
President-Elect, President, and Ex-Officio. Additionally, I have been involved
in the regional, state, and national school bus road-eo, contributing as a
judge and, more recently, as a member of the tabulation committee and its
chair. I’ve attended the state conference every year since 2007, missing only
one conference during that time.
I strongly believe that the success of
education relies on a collaborative effort among the community, students,
parents, and employees—working together with a shared commitment to excellence.
Transportation plays a vital role in this equation and is an integral part of
the student’s educational team. It is essential for transportation
professionals to engage in ongoing education and collaborate with peers across
the state and nation to support the development, recruitment, and retention of
leadership in pupil transportation.
Outside of my professional life, I am a
proud mother to three beautiful daughters and a blessed grandmother to five
wonderful grandchildren.
It would be my honor to serve as the Area
4 Director.
