Elisha Lorenz
Administrative Assistant
Belton ISD
Hello everyone, I am Elisha Lorenz, and I am seeking your vote for the Texas Association for Pupil Transportation Historian for the 2022-2023 school year. Currently, I am the Administrative Assistant for Belton ISD. Having 23 years of service in the student transportation industry, I play a very instrumental part in the daily operations of my department. I began my career at Lorena ISD as the District Transportation Clerk. My duties ranged from submitting state reports to the installation of cameras on buses and everything in between. As crazy as it sounds this is where I fell in love with this amazing industry.

I am currently the Heart of Texas Secretary/Treasurer and going on my second term. I have also served as President Elect, President and Ex-Officio for the HOT chapter. As you can see, I have a passion for volunteering. I have learned so much serving for Heart of Texas and I want to continue to serve for the student transportation industry and continue to expand my knowledge.

I love the Texas Association for Pupil Transportation as this organization has been there for, me as I obtained the following certifications: Official, Supervisor, Specialist, and Trainer. Because of the leadership in the organization, and the guidance and direction I have received, it inspired me to acquire my Train-the-Trainer with TEEX, Vehicle Collision Investigation with TASBO, as well as State Reporting with Region 12 ESC. TAPT has been there for me, and I want to pay it forward. It would be fulfilling and an honor to serve on the committee for all of the members and to collaborate to ensure our organization continues to be successful. As the Historian I will ensure that I capture all of the memorable occasions that take place so that we can continue to reminisce for many years to come.

I have been married 28 years, have two children and a new grandbaby that I adore and love spending time with. Although my family knows the passion, I have for what I do I know they get tired of listening to me speak of how great this industry really is. I have a big heart for the big yellow bus and the cargo we carry daily. I bleed yellow, just like many of you, and because of that passion, and commitment I have for this industry I am seeking your vote for the TAPT Historian for the 22-23 school year. I am asking for the opportunity to represent all of you in this organization
