Temple ISD
My name is Elisha Lorenz and I am running for the office of
Historian for the 2025-2026 school year with TAPT. I am currently the Operation Specialist for
Temple ISD and is instrumental in the
daily operations of the department. I
am a Third Party Tester for Temple
ISD. This is my 26th year serving in the transportation industry
in many different roles.
I graduated from Lorena High School and after a few years at
college began my transportation career as the District Transportation Clerk for
Lorena ISD. My duties ranged from
submitting state reports to the installation of cameras on buses and everything
in between. During my time with Lorena
ISD, I served two terms as the Heart of Texas TAPT Secretary and obtained the
following Transportation Certifications through TAPT: Official, Supervisor,
Specialist, and Trainer. I have also
acquired my Train-the-Trainer with TEEX, Vehicle Collision Investigation with
TASBO, as well as, State Reporting with Region 12 ESC.
I am currently the Heart of Texas Treasurer and going on my
14 year serving. I have been President
Elect, President and Ex-Officio. I have
a passion for volunteering. I have been the Road-e-o Chair for the past 4
years. I served as President for the
Lorena band boosters for 4 years and served as Treasurer for 2 years. I have learned so much serving for Heart of
Texas and I want to continue to serve. I
want to expand my knowledge by working with TAPT.
I have been married 31 years and have two children and two
grandbabies that I adore and love spending time with.
I have a big
heart for big yellow buses and the cargo they carry. I am looking forward to this next year and
would appreciate the opportunity to represent all of you as Historian for TAPT.
