Teri Mapengo is the Director of Transportation for Mesquite ISD. She has a total of 9 years in the field of public-school transportation. Before her new role as Transportation Director, she served in many other roles as an Assistant Director, Transportation Manager, Field Trip Coordinator, Route Coordinator, and Bus Driver. She is currently working towards getting her TAPT Administrator Professional certificate as well as her certified Director of Pupil Transportation certificate through NAPT.
She currently lives in Rockwall TX and has 2 kids in high school and a son in college. Learning how each Transportation Department operates, what separates them from their peers, or what have they found that works, is something she is eager to learn about every day. Her favorite quote is “In a world where you can be anything, be Kind.” It costs you nothing to be nice.
