Anthony Sims
Director of Transportation
Fort Worth ISD
An 11-year career in Pupil Transportation began in 2012 as a Bus Driver for Dallas County Schools. Working his way up the ranks in transportation, Sims has taken on his recent role as Director of Transportation for Fort Worth Independent School District.

Actively involved with TAPT since 2016, Sims has earned the following accolades: Transportation Officials Certification in 2021, President for the West Texas APT in 2022, TAPT Professional Development Instructor and Committee Member, and most recently elected as Historian for TAPT Executive Committee in 2023.

Sims has also accepted the role of co-chair of the School Bus Safety Poster Contest. A role he is passionate about.

When you speak of Passion for Pupil Transportation, his passion and love are very hard to wrap up in a few sentences. Sims loves his career and what TAPT accomplishes year after year, stating, "What this organization has done for me both professionally and personally, I owe so much that I never mind assisting them in any way I can." A statement that many have found to be true.

"I love what I do! The Yellow Bus changed my life, and because of that, I want to share that experience everywhere I go."

This June, Anthony Sims is running again for TAPT Historian. He has much more to accomplish in this role, but he wants to do it behind the lens, capturing forever moments that will come for the Texas Association for Pupil Transportation.
